Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is place in her bosom to be nursed and trained! Could she have but one glimpse in to the future of that life as it reaches on into eternity; could she look into it's soul to see its possibilities; could she be made to understand her own personal responsibility for the training of this child, for the development of its life, and for its destiny,--she would see that in all God's world there is no other work so noble and so worthy of her best powers, and she would commit to no others hands the sacred and holy trust given to her." -JR Miller

Happy New Year - New Beginnings

I know I've not been posting much recently, the demands of late pregnancy, 5 children, and a laptop which has to be shared between me and the children which also has a dodgy battery makes me having computer time quite a rare thing!

But I'm still here, we've had a bit of a hectic time, thought we'd finally got a new house just before Christmas and was preparing to move but it all fell through, which was quite devastating for me as I'd gotten quite hopeful and was allowing myself to dream about being in a house big enough and not full of damp and leaks - but unfortunately we have learned our current landlord is going to make things difficult for us - guess he doesn't want to lose his rent money from us, as there is no way anyone woiuld rent this house now until he'd spent some money on it as the damage from the leaking is obvious and the boiler getting ready to be replaced.

So for now as baby is due anytime from now til February I am concentrating on nesting and preparing for a beautiful new blessing, making the best of the situation. And my verse for the new year is

Isaiah 43:18 "Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.

In fact the whole chapter is quite encouraging and I know that in all things God is Sovereign and can be trusted even when things don't make sense to us.

It's funny because it's the same verse that God gave me during my last pregnancy when I was getting nervous about birthing - it's amazing that our God is the God of new things, and we're at a new year - ready for a whole load of new blessings and new opportunities.

I intend to make the most of them this year and pray the same for you all.

I'm so sorry about the house! Will be praying for you as you prepare for this new little blessing's arrival.

Not sure how your car is and whether you can drive? Still have that order here that you were going to collect...... Also would still love to see you. Unfortunately I now have a school run every day so not easy to go far from home right now during school days.

Catch up soon! Missin you.
