Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is place in her bosom to be nursed and trained! Could she have but one glimpse in to the future of that life as it reaches on into eternity; could she look into it's soul to see its possibilities; could she be made to understand her own personal responsibility for the training of this child, for the development of its life, and for its destiny,--she would see that in all God's world there is no other work so noble and so worthy of her best powers, and she would commit to no others hands the sacred and holy trust given to her." -JR Miller

Change is in the air

I seem to not have as much time for blogging lately - in fact I've not had much time for anything! Its been an exciting time in a way - I was my best friends birthing partner - how awesome to see a baby born when you're not giving birth!!! What a privilege to witness the miracle of life. But the staff were concerned with baby's breathing so she was taken to special care and Mum had to stay in hospital (the plan was a nice natural homebirth lol) so we looked after her 2 girls for her - we had 7 children under 8 years old in our house and I was doing the school run (not a usual event for me lol) so you can imagine the "chaos" but in all that the children were very good and baby and Mum were out of hospital in 4 days so God had His hand on the whole situation.

My Mum and Dad's house has gone on the market - they have talked about moving for a while but are finally doing it!!! Their house is too big for them now really - it's 4 bedroom and HUGE and there is only 2 of them - I would love to be able to afford to buy it but that's not gonna happen!

One of my sisters is moving to Australia for a year this September - doing a job swap - I'm so excited for her (though maybe a tad jealous ;-))

Another sister is planning her wedding for next May - at which one of my daughters at least will be a bridesmaid - another first for us.

So all in all there are a lot of changes about to happen - but the biggest change for us personally that I am praying for is a new house - one that we can fit in and keep tidy and doesn't leak or have damp - and the money to be able to put a deposit on it and afford the move!!!
I've been praying for a long time (though maybe not as consistently as I should) and its hard to persevere in prayer but I know that I serve a God who is mighty and powerful and able to do all things so in Him will I trust!!!!

Will be praying with you for that one! Too bad you don't have the deposit.....I have a three bedrooom house for sale! They are almost finished with our 'burnt house' and we NEED to sell it, in order to buy this one.

It is completely new from the roof to the flooring, new kitchen, range cooker, two bathrooms, wiring, plumbing, heating - basically a totally new house in an old sturdy shell. If you know could move there it would be soooo cool to have you in our house! Though.....I'm not sure if it is big enough for you guys anymore. :o)

Anyway, I'll be praying. (((HUGS))) - Deedee
