Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is place in her bosom to be nursed and trained! Could she have but one glimpse in to the future of that life as it reaches on into eternity; could she look into it's soul to see its possibilities; could she be made to understand her own personal responsibility for the training of this child, for the development of its life, and for its destiny,--she would see that in all God's world there is no other work so noble and so worthy of her best powers, and she would commit to no others hands the sacred and holy trust given to her." -JR Miller

Moving Again!!!

We are moving again!! You may remember that just 11 months ago we moved to this house, read about that here

This is an amazing story about listening to God and trusting Him that I want to share.

Just before Christmas last year, some friends of ours let us know that the house they rented out was becoming available and they would love for us to rent it. I was so excited, went to view it and fell in love. I felt strongly though that I should submit to my husband and that the final decision should be his, as it was 3 hours away from where we currently live and we were not sure how we would be able to support ourselves financially.

Neither of us had any peace about saying yes to moving, though my heart said yes, my spirit said wait!

I struggled to keep my peace though, as in the back of my mind I was remembering the 6 years we were stuck in a house that leaked, praying desperately for a new house and wondering why it was taking so long! I also knew that our current house was a temporary move and the landlady had suggested we stay for a year, so I was worried that should we turn our friends house down we would have nowhere else to go!!

God took this opportunity to show me just how amazing He is and how it is safe to trust Him, and what matters is following Him above all else.

My Dad told us about a house nearby which may be suitable, it had 3 bedrooms upstairs and a room downstairs we could use as a bedroom, I went to look at it dubiously, thinking I wasn't really keen on a downstairs bedroom, but when I saw it I fell in love!! 3 good sized bedrooms upstairs and 1 downstairs, and our son decided that he would love a bedroom downstairs.

A separate living room and dining room and one of the best bits (I think) a separate laundry room!

The move is in a few weeks - will be interesting with a broken finger but I am trusting God that He will provide and help - if I go quiet you will know why!!

Always hard to trust that things will work out especially with house moves and open possibilities.

So is the house your dad told you of the one you're moving to and is it closer to him?
