Oh that God would give every mother a vision of the glory and splendor of the work that is given to her when a babe is place in her bosom to be nursed and trained! Could she have but one glimpse in to the future of that life as it reaches on into eternity; could she look into it's soul to see its possibilities; could she be made to understand her own personal responsibility for the training of this child, for the development of its life, and for its destiny,--she would see that in all God's world there is no other work so noble and so worthy of her best powers, and she would commit to no others hands the sacred and holy trust given to her." -JR Miller

Settling In

Helloooo there, long time, no see - I take all the blame ;-)
We are settling in nicely in our new home, and oh does it feel like home, it's fast becoming a favourite house (I only have 2 other favourites out of 8) yes we have had a fair amount of moves in our 15 years of marriage!
Moving house is something I have always enjoyed, in fact in my entire life 6 years is the longest I have lived in one house!
Saying that though I am kinda hoping we can settle a bit longer in this one, it would be nice to have a bit of security.

One thing I have learnt is how true the bible verse is that talks about the earth being our temporary abode.
Our citizenship is heavenly - Philippians 3:20
Hard to remember at times when the weight of the world is heavy on us but true nonetheless no matter what is happening all this on this earth is temporary

Let me leave you with these verses

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NIV)

Blessings!
